Cadence Cycling Foundation
How The Program Works

The Cadence Cycling Foundation season runs from March - September, with races taking place from April - September. Athletes have an experienced coach teaching and training them twice a week during this time period. Philadelphia, Camden, and Wilmington teams have the opportunity to race against each other on the weekends.

Cadence athletes learn important life skills including teamwork, discipline, goal-setting, and the importance of nutrition and education. All CCF Juniors and Seniors are eligible for the Cadence College ConneXion Program, which helps prepare them for college.

The Cadence College ConneXion program runs through the Fall and Winter. All bikes, helmets, equipment, clothing, and race transportation are provided.

Local Cycling Partnerships: Feeder Teams

The Cadence Cycling Foundation teams feed motivated and dedicated youth who are ready to take cycling to the next level to local club cycling teams. CCF athletes who have shown their commitment to the sport of the cycling are permitted to compete with the local club teams as part of their junior programs.

Feeder teams such as Quaker City Wheelmen-Junior Mentor Initiative, Human Zoom Cycling, and Tri-State Velo provide advance CCF youth with licenses, mentors, support, kits, additional equipment, group rides, and transportation to and from the races.

Joining a club team incorporates CCF athletes into the larger cycling community, exposes them to a healthy lifestyle on the weekends, and in the end, allows them to finnd their identity as a cyclist. Self-identication as a cyclist is the key to keeping youth involved in the sport throughout high school, college, and into the rest of their lives.
